INLA, PROSEGUONO LE PERQUISIZIONI DELLA PSNI NELLE AREE REPUBBLICANE DI DERRY

Councillor’s home searched in Derry paramilitary probe (UTV News)
The home of Londonderry independent councillor, Gary Donnelly, has been searched by police investigating a paramilitary show of strength in the city.
Police carried out searches of the home in the Creggan area on Wednesday.
Shots were fired over the coffin of Peggy O’Hara in the Templegrove area of the city last Wednesday.
At the funeral on Saturday masked men and women in paramilitary dress took part in the procession.
Mrs O’Hara was mother of INLA hunger striker Patsy O’Hara and died following a short illness last week.
She was well-known in the republican community and stood as a candidate in the Foyle constituency in the 2007 Assembly election.
The DUP hit out at the displays in Derry and questioned the police over their actions.
Following the show of strength on Wednesday, Mr Donnelly, who was at the ceremony, said he understood people’s concerns over the shooting, but stressed it was a tribute to the deceased.
“There was no hostile intent whatsoever,” he said.
