Suscita ed ha suscitato scalpore in ambito repubblicano il lancio di un sidro italiano ‘dedicato’ a Bobby Sands in occasione del trentennale della sua morte

Il lancio nel 2011 del Bobby Sands Cyder di CasaItalia Bolzano Produzioni ,in occasione del trentennale della sua morte (5 maggio 1981), infiamma gli animi degli irlandesi e degli oppositori ai movimenti di destra, contro la parte ‘fascista’ dell’Italia e  la consueta tendenza ad auto-associarsi ad icone e slogan repubblicani.
Non si tratta di certo della prima volta in cui il volto di Bobby Sands trova posto in contesti che poco hanno a che fare con quanto significa ed ha significato Sands per l’Irlanda del Nord. Un esempio è il murals a Falls Road che associa Bobby Sands ad un servizio Taxi.

The souls of Irish people and of people against left-wing movements are excited against the “fascist” part of Italy and its tendency to associate itself to Republican icons and slogans.
It’s not the first time Bobby Sands is used for things that do not belong at all to what Sands meant – and still means – for Northern Ireland. An example is the murals in Falls Road that uses the image of Bobby Sands for a Taxi service.
