DERRY, IN MIGLIAIA ALL’APPRENTICE BOYS PARADE

Thousands at Apprentice Boys parades (UTV)
Thousands of people are in Londonderry for the main Apprentice Boys parade.
Events to commemorate the Siege of Derry began on Saturday morning, with the largest parade getting underway at around lunchtime.
Around 15,000 marchers and some 150 bands from across the UK are to take part.
The annual march is always a major security event for the PSNI with several hundred officers on duty and dozens expected to adopt a low-key role on the parade route.
However it has passed off peacefully in recent years.
Police are warning trouble-makers to stay away – but the city’s police commander, Chief Superintendent Stephen Cargin, said he is confident the parades will be incident-free.
He encouraged people to come to Londonderry
