Una donna è stata arrestata nell’ambito delle indagini sull’omicidio dell’agente della PSNI cattolico, ucciso il 2 aprile scorso a Omagh

Una donna di 36 anni si trova attualmente in stato di fermo a Pomeroy, Co Tyrone, a sole 15 miglia di distanza da Omagh dove il 2 aprile scorso, Ronan Kerr, agente cattolico del Police Service of Northen Ireland, è rimasto vittima di una booby trap bomb piazzata sotto la sua auto parcheggiata davanti a casa.
L’attentato è stato rivendicato la vigilia di Pasqua da quella che si autodefinita ‘la vera IRA’, gruppo formato da vecchie ed esperte leve dell’allora Provisional IRA.
Già in carcere, Gavin Coyle – 33 anni residente a Omagh – che deve attualmente rispondere di possesso di armi ed esplosivi.

Police officer Ronan Kerr murder: woman arrested (Belfast Telegraph)
A woman was arrested today by police investigating the murder of police officer Ronan Kerr.
The 36-year-old was detained in Pomeroy, Co Tyrone, 15 miles from Omagh where the Police Service of Northern Ireland constable was killed by a bomb which exploded under his car on April 2.
It was planted by dissident republicans opposed to the peace process in Northern Ireland.
Constable Kerr, 25, was a Catholic.
One man, Gavin Coyle, 33, from Omagh, is facing a series of explosives and firearms charges after being detained by detectives investigating Constable Kerr’s murder.
