L’indagato, 33 anni, era stato arrestato la scorsa settimana. Mercoledì, gli investigatori hanno anche ottenuto l’estensione di ulteriori sei giorni dello stato di fermo di altri 2 uomini, rispettivamente di 26 e 40, anche arrestato la scorsa settimana.
Ronan Kerr, agente del Police Service of Northern Ireland da sole 3 settimane, era rimasto vittima di una booby trap bomb esplosa davanti alla sua casa in Highfield a Omagh.

Police in Northern Ireland have been given almost seven extra days to question a man over the murder of Constable Ronan Kerr.
The suspect, 33, was arrested last week. On Wednesday detectives were given an extra six days to quiz two men aged 26 and 40, also detained last week.
It is in connection with the booby trap bomb that killed the Catholic officer, 25, in Omagh, Co Tyrone, on April 2.
Dissident republicans opposed to the peace process were blamed for the device that exploded under the policeman’s car.
The same extremist groups are believed to be behind a 500lb van bomb police discovered near the border city of Newry, Co Down, last Thursday.
On Sunday a peace rally in Omagh attracted support from across the community and was attended by friends and relatives of the murdered officer.
While the march was not party political, organisers said it was intended to send a message of support for the peace process.
Police questioning the man aged 33 were given six-and-three-quarter extra days by a court.
