Two arrests amid Derry disorder (UTV)
Two men have been arrested in Londonderry after police stopped a car in which it is understood they discovered weapons and pipe bombs.
The vehicle was rammed by police at Northland Road shortly after 8pm on Friday.
Army bomb experts were tasked to the scene of the security operation.
The road has been closed and diversions are in place at Seagate and Springtown Road.
It came after disorder broke out in the city’s Bogside.
UTV reporter Gareth Wilkinson said petrol bombs were thrown at police during the trouble.
Police advised motorists to avoid the area of Rossville Street, Barrack Street and Lecky Road due to the public unrest on Friday night.
