CHIUSO ST. ANGELO AIRPORT DI ENNISKILLEN, E’ ALLERTA
Suspicious object found on plane at St. Angelo Airport (Impartial Reporter)
St. Angelo Airport in Enniskillen is in lockdown tonight after a suspicious object was reported to be on board a plane.
Officers have sealed off the area around the airport and a fire appliance is on standby outside. Army technical officers have also been tasked to the scene.
The Killadeas road is closed between Trory and Laragh due to the ongoing security alert and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
The PSNI say they are not releasing any further details at this stage, but a close source has told impartialreporter.com that officers are currently searching aircraft at the airport for the suspicious object.
Fermanagh and South Tyrone MLA Tom Elliott says it is important that “everyone stays alert” and informs the security services of anything suspicious.
