Allarme bomba a Craigavon e Lurgan

Altissima la tensione in Irlanda del Nord da ormai una settimana, in cui si sono susseguiti numerose allerte sicurezza tra Derry e Belfast.
La situazione è precipitata poi lo scorso sabato ad Omagh, con l’esplosione dei una booby trap bomb che ha strappato la vita ad un neo agente cattolico della PSNI.
Attualmente in corso due allarmi bomba.
Il primo a Craigavon dove è stato rinvenuto un oggetto sospetto abbandonato in Tullygally Road, che è stata immediatamente chiusa al traffico. Chiuso anche il Brownlow Integrated College.
Secondo allarme bomba a Lurgan. Le forse di sicurezza stanno passando al setaccio un terreno incolto nei pressi la vecchia fabbrica di Glendinning. Potrebbe rendersi necessaria l’evacuazione delle abitazioni enll’area di Allenhill Park.

Terminata l’allerta a Craigavon. Si è trattato di un falso allarme, ma ben elaborato.

Security alerts in Co Armagh (UTV)
There are two security alerts in Co Armagh.
A suspicious object has been discovered in Craigavon.
The device was abandoned on the Tullygally Road which has been closed.
The alert has also led to the closure of Brownlow Integrated College.
Meanwhile, police are searching parts of Lurgan amid claims that a bomb has been abandoned in the area.
Officers are examining waste ground at the old Glendinning factory. A PSNI spokeswoman said homes in the Allenhill Park area may be evacuated.
At the end of last month, a number of elderly residents had to be moved from their homes after a security alert in the Lake Street area.
It was later declared an elaborate hoax.
