Arrestati due uomini per l’omicido di Eileen Doherty risalente al settembre 1973 a Belfast

Sono 2 gli uomini arrestati in connessione all’omicidio di Eileen Doherty, diciannovenne quando nel settembre del 1973 una banda di uomini armati sequestrò un taxi che si stava dirigendo ad Anderstown.
I sospetti, entrambi cinquasettenni, rispettivamente di Newtownards e sud Belfast, sono ora detenuti dalla PSNI presso la sezione gravi crimini di Antrim. Gli interrogati sono in corso.

Double arrest over 1973 murder (NewsLetter)
Two men have been arrested in connection with the 1973 murder of a Belfast teenager, police have confirmed.
Detectives from the PSNI’s serious crime branch detained the two males, both aged 57, in Newtownards and south Belfast on Tuesday morning.
The arrests are in connection with the murder of 19-year-old Eileen Doherty in September 1973.
Ms Doherty was shot dead by gunmen who hijacked a taxi on the city’s Ormeau Road which was heading for Andersonstown.
Both suspects have been taken to Antrim serious crime suite for questioning.
