Man facing murder re-trial released on bail (BBC News Northern Ireland)

A man facing re-trial over the murder of two soldiers at Massereene Barracks in Antrim in 2009 has been released on bail.

Brian Shivers, from Magherafelt, had been in custody in Maghaberry Prison awaiting the re-trial.

The court of appeal quashed his conviction for the killings on the grounds that it was unsafe.

Sappers Mark Quinsey, 23, from Birmingham, and Patrick Azimkar, 21, from London, died in a Real IRA attack.
