Sono stati concessi pochi giorni di libertà all’uomo arrestato la scorsa settimana ad Omagh, nell’ambito delle indagini sull’omicidio di Ronan Kerr. Poliziotto da sole 3 settimana, fatto saltare in aria da una booby trap bomb piazzata sotto la sua auto parcheggiata davanti a casa. Era il 2 aprile scorso.
Fresco di rilascio incondizionato, il 33 di Omagh è stato ieri sera formalmente accusato di possesso di armi da fuoco con l’intento di uccidere e di materiale a fine terroristico.
L’uomo comparirà sabato mattina dinnanzi alla Dungannon Magistrates’ Court.

Detectives investigating the murder of Constable Ronan Kerr in Omagh have charged a man with having explosives and firearms with intent to endanger life.
The 33-year-old was arrested in Omagh last week and charged on Thursday night.
He is also accused of having articles likely to be used in terrorism.
He is due to appear at Dungannon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday morning.
Constable Kerr, 25, was killed when a bomb exploded under his car in Omagh earlier this month.
His murder sparked widespread condemnation across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
