ALLERTE ‘PIPE BOMB’ A DERRY E COALISLAND

Danneggiate abitazioni e automobili a partire nelle ultime 24 ore. Artificieri all’opera

Police probe pipe bomb attacks
Police are investigating two separate pipe bomb attacks in Londonderry and Coalisland.
During the early hours of Monday the windows of two homes were shattered by a blast in Coalisland.
Two cars were also damaged at Castlehill Terrace.
According to a PSNI spokesman, initial enquiries suggest that a pipe-bomb type device had been left outside a house.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that an “a crude but viable pipe bomb-type device” was the cause of an overnight security alert in Londonderry.
Army bomb experts were called in to examine an object within a car parked at Cromore Gardens in the city on Sunday night.
Up to 30 homes were evacuated in the incident.
Missiles including bricks and fireworks were thrown at police at the scene
This latest alert comes after a viable device was discovered in the Lecky Road area on Thursday night.
Police enquiries to establish the circumstances of both incidents are ongoing.
