RSF APPELLA IL REAL IRA ‘TRADITORI’
Attacco pungente del Repubblican Sinn Fein contro il Real IRA durante la sua principale commemorazione dell’Easter Rising a Derry
Il Repubblican Sinn Fein per bocca del suo rappresentante Emmett White, ha accusato di tradimento il Real IRA durante la dichiarazione di Pasqua letta a Derry presso il cimitero della città.
“Abbiamo molti gruppi che si definiscono repubblicani. Noi abbiamo la cosiddetta Real IRA, che si batte per una repubblica 32 contee o così dice. Che cosa ha fatto tra il 1986 e il 1997? Era disposto ad accettare l’ordine del giorno dei Provos (Provisional Sinn Fein). Essi sono dei traditori. Essi dovrebbero deporre le armi e tornare a casa. Non si può diluire il principio”.
Membri del 32 County Sovereignty Movement presenti alla cerimonia, hanno preferito abbandonare la manifestazione in segno di protesta.
Anche la corrente principale repubblicana ha subito un attacco durante la commemorazione di Pasqua tenuta presiedutoa da Mickey McGonigle durante la quale il Continuity IRA ed i suoi prigionieri hanno accusato il Sinn Fein di essere un traditore.
“Questi cosiddetti repubblicani si sono resi colpevoli di tradimento. Se continueranno a proteggere il nemico dell’Irlanda incontreranno resistenza”.
RSF call Real IRA traitors (Derry Journal)
Republican Sinn Féin (RSF) launched a stinging attack on the Real IRA during their Easter Rising commemoration in the City Cemetery on Sunday, branding the group “traitors.”
The comment was made during the main oration at the RSF commemoration, which was delivered by Emmett White from Offally.
Mr White said; “We have many groups who call themselves republicans. We have the so-called Real IRA who are fighting for a 32 county republic or so they say. What did they do between 1986 and 1997? They were willing to accept the provo agenda. They are traitors. They should put down their arms and go home. There can be no dilution of principle.”
A number of members of the 32 County Sovereignty Movement then left the commemoration in protest at his remarks.
Mainstream republicans also came under attack at the commemoration, which was chaired by Mickey McGonigle, with statements from the Continuity IRA (CIRA) and CIRA prisoners claiming Sinn Féin are “guilty of treason”.
A masked man dressed in paramilitary uniform read a statement on behalf of the CIRA leadership while the CIRA prisoners statement said; “These so-called republicans are guilty of treason. If they continue to protect Ireland’s foe they will be met with resistance.”
Before the oration, Derry man Richard Walsh laid a wreath at the republican monument on behalf of the Continuity IRA while Dungiven man Damien McGonigle laid a wreath on the grave of Derry republican Séan Keenan. Richard Walsh also read the Proclamation and the commemoration ended with Whitey O’Neill playing the National Anthem.

What did the contos do from 1986 to the present day? Sweet F*ck all that’s what. And who is Emmett White? What has he done in the past 24 years? Most of the realers since 1986 were fighting a war. Where was he? Holed up in Offally where no harm could come to him? Nice of him to make an appearance in 2010 and call people that have been fighting all their lives “tratiors” I think he must have got the wrong party and meant to join Gerry, Marty and co in the Provoies. Shame on the cub for calling republicans tratiors. He’d be great in the provies, he’d fit in nicely so he would.

In a statement Emmett Walsh wishes to clarify the Derry Journal’s report of his oration delivered in Derry on Easter Sunday, April 4, at the Republican Sinn Féin Commemoration.
“My use of the term ‘traitors’ in my oration was directed at the Provisionals as well the 26-County Administration only. Such remarks were not directed at any other organisation and nor was it my intention that such a label be placed on any other organisation.”
