La PSNI ha avvertito Dale Moore di una minaccia di morte nei suoi confronti

Gli agenti del Police Service of Northern Ireland si sono recati a Derry presso l’abitazione di Dale Moore, addetto stampa del Sinn Fein, per rivelargli di essere oggetto di minacce di morte da parte del Real IRA.
Moore ha espresso la richiesta di spiegazioni sia dal Real IRA che dal 32 County Sovereignty Movement, movimento politico legato al gruppo paramilitare repubblicano.
“Ovviamente bisogna prendere sul serio la minaccia dati gli avvenimenti che si sono susseguiti a Derry nel corso degli ultimi mesi”, ha dichiarato Moore, intenzionato ora a rafforzare le proprie misure di sicurezza.
In una dichiarazione la PSNI ha affermato di non essere in grado di rilasciare commenti.
“Noi non mettiamo in discussione la sicurezza delle persone, quando crediamo che qualcuno abbia bisogno di rivedere la propria sicurezza si adottano le misure appropriate per darne informazione”.
“Non abbiamo mai ignorato tutto ciò che può mettere a rischio un individuo”.

SF press man given death threat (BBC News Northern Ireland)
A senior Derry Sinn Fein press officer has said he has received a death threat from the Real IRA.
Dale Moore said police officers visited his home at about 1840 GMT on Thursday and told him they had intelligence that the Real IRA intended to shoot him.
Mr Moore said he wants Real IRA and the 32 County Sovereignty Movement to say why this threat was issued.
“Obviously you have to take the threat seriously given the happenings in Derry over the past month or so.”
Mr Moore said he intends to step up his security arrangements.
In a statement the PSNI said they were unable to comment the threat.
“We do not discuss the security of individuals, where we believe that anyone needs to review their security we take the appropriate steps to inform them.
“We never ignore anything which may put an individual at risk.”
