Martin McGuinness, Vice Primo Mininistro nordirlandese, ha accusato i dissindenti di voler riacutizzare il conflitto come chiaro attacco al processo di pace tutt’ora in corso e alle istituzioni politiche.
“In nessun caso possiamo, da rappresentanti democraticamente eletti dal popolo, permettere che ciò accada”, ha detto McGuinness.

Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness has said dissidents will not be allowed to plunge society back into conflict as there is “only one side” for people to take and that is peace and democracy.
Responding to an assembly question, Mr McGuinness said the three killings were carried out by people whose sole purpose was to destroy the peace process and the political institutions.
“Under no circumstances can we as democratically elected representatives of the people allow that to happen,” Mr McGuinness said.
He said the people who carried out the recent killings did so wondering how Sinn Fein would respond to it, undoubtedly hoping it would createhuge difficulties for Sinn Fein.
“But we take our responsibilities seriously and I take my responsibilities working directly with the first minister very seriously indeed,” he said.
