SEQUESTRO DI MATERIALE PER FABBRICARE BOMBE

La PSNI ha sequestrato a Keady, un importante quantitativo di materiale atto alla fabbricazione di ordigni esplosivi. Nessun arresto

Continua la vasta operazione ‘anti dissidente’ inziata dal Police Service Northern Ireland, iniziata ieri con un raid nel South Armagh che aveva portato all’arresto ‘significativo’ di tre uomini di cui non sono state rese note le generalità.
La scoperta di materiale adatto alla fabbricazione di ordigni esplosivi,  è stata fatta da agenti della PSNI appartenenti alla Serious Crime Branch, nell’ambito di perquisizioni nella zona Keady.
Secondo un portavoce della polizia, non sono stati effettuati ulteriori arresti.

A large quantity of suspected bomb-making equipment has been uncovered by police, during an ongoing operation against dissident republican activity in south Armagh.
The find was made by officers from the PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch, as searches were carried out in the Keady area on Saturday.
According to a police spokeswoman, no further arrests have been made.
It comes after three “significant” arrests were made during a cross-border operation by the PSNI and An Garda Síochána in the area on Friday. Weapons and ammunition were also seized.
The three men who were detained were taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite, where they’re still being questioned.
Meanwhile, the public is still being urged to be vigilant – particularly over the Easter holidays – as the PSNI has been placed on full alert due to the terror threat.
Police have warned that a murder bid on officers by dissidents is likely over the coming days or weeks and have asked for public support as they “take all appropriate and legitimate steps” to minimise the threat.
