Due uomini sono stati arresti in relazione all’assassinio dello spacciatore Jim McConnell, a Derry

Arrestati 2 uomini rispettivamente di 42 e 44 anni, per l’omicidio dello spacciato Jim McConell, avvenuto a Derry nel febbraio del 2009.
McConnell fu ucciso da due uomini mascherati all’interno della sua abitazione.
I due arrestati sono stati immediatamente trasportati alla stazione di polizia di Antrim dove sono attualmente sottoposti ad interrogatori.
Il quarantaduenne è sospettato di essere altresì membro dell’INLA, che nell’ottobre del 2009 ha dichiarato conclusa la propria lotta armata e che l’unità d’Irlanda sarebbe stata meglio raggiunta attraverso metodologie pacifiche.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 38-year-old man in Londonderry last year.
Convicted drug dealer Jim McConnell was shot by two masked men in his home in Woodland Avenue in February 2009.
The men who have been arrested are aged 42 and 44 and have been taken to Antrim police station for questioning.
The 42-year-old is also being held on suspicion of being a member of a prescribed organisation, believed to be the Irish National Liberation Army.
In October 2009, the Irish National Liberation Army announced that its “armed struggle” was over and said its objective of a “32-county socialist republic” would be best achieved through exclusively peaceful means.
