Avviata un’inchiesta ufficiale sull’utilizzo di proiettili di plastica dalla PSNI, durante i recenti scontri a Craigavon

Come da protocollo, il Police Ombudsman ha dato il via all’inchiesta sull’utilizzo di proiettili di platisca durante i disordini, esplosi lo scorso week end, a Craigavon l’area di Tullygally Road.
La polizia ha risposto così al lancio di mattoni, bottiglie e spranghe di ferro in quello che è stato definito un ‘attacco pesante’. Gravi danni a tre veicoli della PSNI.
Le forze di sicurezza ritengono che lo scopo dei rivoltosi era uccidere.
Gli scontri sono scoppiati quando agenti di polizia sono arrivati in Tullygally Road a seguito della segnalazione di un dispositivo sospetto.

The Police Ombudsman has launched an investigation after police fired three baton rounds during rioting in Craigavon on Saturday night.
Al Hutchinson has appealed for information after the rounds were discharged during disturbances in the Tullygally Road area.
Police said bricks, bottles and iron bars were thrown at officers, seriously damaging three police vehicles.
The area’s chief inspector said officers could have been killed.
The trouble started after police moved in to deal with a suspicious device on the Tullygally Road on Saturday afternoon.
The baton rounds were discharged within minutes of each other at around midnight on Saturday.
