Un sondaggio del Belfast Telegraph lo da sulla buona strada per diventarlo

Il Sinn Fein sembra essere destinato a diventare il maggiore partito politico dell’Irlanda del Nord, con la conseguente scalata di Martin McGuinness alla guida di Stormont, questo il risultato di un sondaggio del Belfast Telegraph.
I risultati del sondaggio elettori suggerisce anche la maggioranza dei protestanti vogliono vedere un patto elettorale tra i partiti unionisti.
Rivela anche che il divario tra il DUP eUUP, in termini di sostegno, è molto risicato.
I timori unionisti circa la conquista della carica di primo ministro da parte di McGuinness era stato rivelato da un altro recente sondaggio, secondo cui un certo numero di membri dell’Assembly sia tra le file del DUP che dell’UUP,  non accetterebbero di sottostare a McGuinness.

McGuinness ‘on course’ to be First Minister (U TV)
Martin McGuinness is on course to be First Minister of Northern Ireland, according to a new opinion poll.
The survey, carried out by the Belfast Telegraph, indicates that Sinn Fein is set to become the biggest political party here – a position which would see Martin McGuinness take up the top post.
The opinion poll of voters also suggests a majority of Protestants want to see an electoral pact between the unionist parties.
It also reveals that the gap between the DUP and Ulster Unionists, in terms of support, is closing.
If a snap Assembly election was called, 21% of those surveyed said they would vote for Sinn Fein, compared with 18% of voters who would back the DUP.
Unionist fears about Mr McGuinness becoming First Minister were revealed in another recent poll in which a number of DUP and UUP assembly members indicated they would not serve under Mr McGuinness.
