Possible link to tractor attacks (BBC News Northern Ireland)
Police are investigating the possibility that a tractor was used in two separate attacks on Orange halls in County Antrim within 24 hours.
At 1710 on Saturday, it was reported a tractor may have been used to force open a door at a hall in Ballymoney.
Drums and furniture inside the building on Bravallan Road were also damaged.
Police said it may be linked to an earlier attack in Rasharkin during which a wall was knocked down outside Granagh Independent Orange Hall.
The front door of the building on Mullan Road was also damaged in the incident.
Local DUP councillor John Finlay said the Rasharkin attack was carried out by “sick individuals” in an attempt “to stir sectarian tensions” in the area.
“The use of a large mechanical device demonstrates their desire to knock the hall down.
“This sends out a very negative message to Protestants in the area,” he said.
There have been a number of sectarian attacks on property belonging to both the Orange Order and the Ancient Order of Hibernians in the vicinity in recent months.
