Il Democratic Unionist Party ha chiesto ufficialmente a Youtube, il maggior sito di condivisione video, di rimuovere i video che lodano le azioni dei dissidenti repubblicani.
Alcuni di questi filmati,  sono stati portati all’attenzione di Jeffrey Donaldson, in particolare uno intitolato ‘Free Derry Media – The War Goes On’.
Il membro del DUP ha affermato che si tratta di mere glorificazioni del terrorismo. “Ci dimostrazioni di forza in cui paramilitari in uniforme paramilitare utilizzano armi da fuoco.”
Youtube ha confermato di aver avviato delle indagini sulla questione.

Call to remove dissident videos  (BBC News Northern Ireland)
The Democratic Unionist Party has asked video sharing website YouTube to remove clips praising dissident republicans.
The videos, one of which is entitled ‘Free Derry Media – The War Goes On, were brought to the site’s attention by Jeffrey Donaldson.
The DUP MP for Lagan Valley said the clips glorified terrorism.
“They very often involve the use of firearms. There are shows of strength where paramilitaries in paramilitary uniform fire weapons,” he said.
YouTube have told Mr Donaldson they are looking into the matter.
