Who can tell? Is this heaven or is this hell?

While Christy Moore has been known to draw on republicanism in his work, now it seems Sinn Fein is being inspired by his music.
Party president Gerry Adams was looking forward to the second anniversary of the power-sharing government which is set to be reached on May 8.
“That’s the longest period that the political institutions have been functioning since the old Stormont regime was stood down in 1972,” he wrote this week.
Mr Adams focused on his party’s developing relationship with the DUP. He said the unionist party had spent decades trying to smash Sinn Fein, but was now in government with republicans.
He accused the DUP of, nevertheless, engaging in sham fights with Sinn Fein and of remaining unnecessarily negative in its public comments. “Maybe they have worked out that this is the line the unionist constituency wants to hear.
“Maybe it reflects their own insecurities. Maybe they really believe it,” he said.
But he drew inspiration from his record collection, quoting Christy Moore’s Lisdoonvarna lyrics, and added: “Who knows? Who can tell? Is this heaven or is this hell? Anyone for the last few choc ices?”
