Man charged with Derry murder (UTV)
A 58-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Barry McCrory in Londonderry last week.
Mr McCrory, 35, was killed by a gunman in a top-floor flat on Shipquay Street in what police described as a “brutal execution” on Thursday 10 October.
His partner escaped uninjured after being forced into another room before he was shot dead.
Mr McCrory’s funeral took place in Galliagh on Tuesday.
The accused, who is also facing firearms charges, will appear before Londonderry Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
It comes after a suspect was detained by police officers in the city on Wednesday as part of a cross-border manhunt launched following the fatal shooting.
