Bullets sent to SF and Alliance MLAs (UTV)

Five Northern Ireland politicians, including the leader of the Alliance Party, have received bullets in the post.

David Ford and his party’s MP Naomi Long were both named on the parcel which was delivered to Parliament Buildings on Wednesday.

A package was also sent to Sinn Féin‘s Gerry Kelly and Alex Maskey,

The Mayor of Larne, Alliance Party councillor Gerardine Mulvenna was the fifth person to be sent bullets in the attack.

An Assembly spokesperson said: “A package was delivered to Parliament Buildings today and intercepted by security staff.”

Police have confirmed they are dealing with a number of suspicious packages found in the post room at Stormont.
