LE FAMIGLIE VEGLIANO PER I DISAPPEARED

Families in vigil for the Disappeared (Belfast Telegraph)
Families the so-called ‘Disappeared’ gathered at Stormont yesterday for an emotional prayer vigil.
The Disappeared victims all went missing between 1972 and 1985 and each year the families come to Parliament Buildings to bring attention to the search for their loved ones.
Molly Carr, sister of Seamus Ruddy, believed to have been killed by the INLA, was one of those who helped lay a black wreath with seven white lilies at Stormont yesterday.
They represent the seven bodies which have yet to be recovered after 16 people were abducted during the height of the Troubles.
Speaking at Stormont yesterday, Ulster Unionist MLA and former victims’ commissioner Mike Nesbitt called for “an end to the agony of the families”.
“This is a terrible stain that needs to be cleansed,” Mr Nesbitt said.
