E’ arrivata la ‘promozione’ per Edward Stevenson che dopo aver occupato la carica di vice Grand Master, si appresta ora a salire il gradino subentrando a Robert Saulters, che lo scorso novembre aveva annunciato le sue dimissioni dopo 14 anni di servizio.
Ex agricoltore, 55 anni, Stevenson ha affermato che il suo approccio sarà incentrato sulle vittime del terrorismo, i cui diritti sono stati ingiustamente calpestati.

The Orange Order has elected senior official Edward Stevenson as its new Grand Master.
The 55-year-old farmer from Co Tyrone, formerly Deputy Grand Master of the institution, was appointed following a meeting in Co Londonderry on Wednesday morning.
He will take over from Robert Saulters, who announced his decision to step down from the position after 14 years last November.
Mr Stevenson, who has been a member of the organisation for 37 years and was Grand Master for his county, said he will pursue a victims-centred approach.
He said he will fight for the rights and entitlements of victims of terrorism who he believes have been unfairly treated.
