12 LUGLIO AD ARDOYNE. IL RENDICONTO DELLA PSNI AL POLICING BOARD

Sostenuti dalla polizia 1,1 milioni di sterline in costi in occasione dei disordini

E’ l’equivalente di un servizio di pattuglia di otto agenti del Police Service of Northern Ireland per un periodo di 3 anni, l’ammontare dei costi sostenuti per la “quattro giorni” di scontri ad Ardoyne divampati in occasione della Twelfth Parade del 12 luglio scorso.
A presentare la rendicontazione della PSNI al Northern Ireland Policing Board è stato il Chief Constable Matt Baggott.
Sono 40 fino ad ora le persone accusate di disordini ad Ardoyne e altre aree di Belfast sempre per lo stesso periodo.

Overnight riots in Ardoyne Several police officers were injured during the rioting
The PSNI chief constable has said that rioting in the Ardoyne area of north Belfast over the twelfth of July cost £1.1m to police.
Matt Baggott was speaking during a meeting of the NI Policing Board.
He said the cost was equivalent to that of a neighbourhood policing team of eight officers working in Ardoyne for three years.
Several police officers were injured during three nights of violence in Ardoyne which began on 12 July.
More than 40 people have so far been charged with the trouble in Ardoyne and other areas of Belfast over the same period.
