Cattolica cinquattottenne gravemente malmenata e urina contro il muro di un cortile di una chiesa

E’ stato denunciata alla PSNI l’aggressione di Mary McKeown, 58 anni, durante la parata del Royal Black Preceptory che si è svolta ieri 28 agosto a Ballymena.
L’aggressione, o tre aggressioni distinte come ipotizzato dalla polizia, è avvvenuto in Broughshane Street mentre la donna si stava recando dal parrucchiere.
La vittima aggredita da 4 uomini, è stata colpita violentemente al volto con un pugno, è stata percossa dietro al collo e le se non state distorte le dita delle mani.
Declan O’Loan (SDLP), dopo aver fatto visita alla Sig.ra McKeown come richiesto dalla sua famiglia, ha dichiarato che conferirà con la Parades Commission e la PSNI sull’accaduto.
“Questi attacchi sono del tutto inaccettabili e devono essere oggetti di indagine da parte del PSNI”.
“E contatterò il Royal Black Preceptory su tale questione e chiederò loro di incontrarmi per discuterene”.
O’Loan ha poi fatto riferimento ad un altro fatto increscioso. “Un numero cospicuo di partecipanti alla parata del RBP sono entrati nel parcheggio di una chiesa e urinato contro un muro dopo esser scesi dai loro autobus”.
“Questo è stato un comportamento vergognoso e gli organizzatori della parata devono garantire che non si ripeta mai più. Fornirò maggiori dettagli alla Parades Commission.”
La PSNI ha affermato di aver aperto le indagini.

Woman claims she was attacked during parade (U TV)
A 58-year-old woman claims she was beaten by men taking part in a Royal Black Preceptory parade in Ballymena.
The alleged attack happened in Broughshane Street on Saturday afternoon.
Mary McKeown was crossing the road to go to a hairdressers when up to four men allegedly beat her.
Her son, Don McKeown, says she was treated for her injuries at Antrim Area Hospital.
“She was punched in the face, she was hit on the back of the neck and her fingers are dislocated.
“This was just thuggery, absolute thuggery,” he told U105.8FM.
Police say they had initially received a report on Saturday afternoon that a woman had fallen during the parade but the woman later said she had been attacked.
SDLP MLA Declan O’Loan has said he will be reporting the incident to the Parades Commission and the PSNI after visiting the woman involved in the alleged incident.
“I visited this lady at the request of her family on Saturday evening and she was still very shocked,” Mr O’Loan said.
“I believe that she was the subject of three separate assaults by different individuals including being punched in the face.
“These assaults were totally unacceptable and they must be fully investigated by the PSNI.
“I will also be contacting the Royal Black Preceptory about these matters and asking them to meet me to discuss them.”
The MLA added that other incidents also took place during Saturday’s parade.
“In a further serious incident, a large number of RBP participants entered a church car park and urinated against a wall after getting off their buses,” he continued.
“This was disgraceful behaviour and parade organisers must ensure that it is never repeated again. I will give full details to the Parades Commission.”
The PSNI say they are investigating the claim.
Thousands of people took part in Royal Black Institution parades across Northern Ireland on Saturday.
