La PSNI ha arrestato 5 uomini a Falls Road e rinvenuto di 2 pistole

L’arresto è avvenuto alle 22 circa di giovedì sera quando la polizia ha fermato un’auto con a bordo i 5 uomini, subito dopo il verificarsi di un attacco in stile paramilitare in una casa della vicina St James Road. Illeso il bersaglio dell’azione dissidente.
Artificieri dell’esercito hanno poi proceduto ad esaminare il veicolo. L’operazione ha comportato la chiusura di Falls Road nel tratto tra il bivio con Whiterock Road ed il deposito di autobus di Falls.

Five men have been arrested and two guns recovered during a police operation in west Belfast.
Officers stopped a car and arrested the men on the Falls Road at about 2200 BST after an incident a few minutes earlier on the nearby St James Road.
It is understood a man was the target of a so-called punishment shooting in a house. It is believed that although a shot was fired, he was not injured.
The arrests took place during a police follow-up operation.
Dissident republican paramilitaries have been responsible for a series of similar shootings.
Army bomb disposal experts were called to examine the car that had been stopped.
As a result, the Falls Road was closed for a period between the junction with the Whiterock Road and the Falls bus depot.
The five men arrested from the vehicle have been taken to Antrim serious crime suite for questioning.
