Ricoverato un trentenne con fratture multiple

Un uomo di trent’anni circa è attualmente ricoverato in ospedale, ma fonti sanitarie assicurano che non è in pericolo di vita.
Ieri sera poco prima delle 22.30, l’uomo è stato picchiato da una banda di quattro uomini armati con mazze e bastoni, nel quartiere di Woodburn a Carrickfergus.
La PSNI invita coloro che hanno visto qualcosa di sospetto, a contattare gli investigatori della stazione di polizia di Newtownabbey.

A man has been injured in a paramilitary-style attack in Carrickfergus.

He was beaten by a gang of four men armed with bats and sticks, in the area of the Woodburn housing estate on Tuesday night.
The victim, who is in his 30s, was taken to hospital with injuries which included a number of fractures. His condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
The attack happened shortly before 10.30pm and officers have appealed for anyone who saw anything suspicious to contact detectives at Newtownabbey.
A local Alliance councillor has spoke of the community’s shock over the attack.
“This was a deeply troubling incident and my thoughts are with the injured man as he recovers from this attack,” said councillor Stewart Dickson.
“Incidents of this nature are absolutely unacceptable and people want a society free from violence and intimidation.
“The community will be shocked at this horrific attack and it must have been a deeply traumatic ordeal for the victim.”
