Piccola esplosione questa mattina all’esterno della caserma di Old Park a North Belfast

L’ordigno è esploso nelle prime ore di questa mattina nell’area di Old Park, danneggiando la recinzione della caserma della PSNI.
Subito chiamati gli esperti artificieri dell’esercito ed evacuate una trentina di abitazioni, per un totale di circa 40 famiglie sfollate.
Non si hanno notizie di feriti.
Sembra chiara la matrice dissidente repubblicana.

A small explosion behind the Old Park barracks, north Belfast, has caused minor damage.
The device blew up in the early hours of Wednesday morning near Old Park barracks, north Belfast, destroying perimeter fencing.
Army technical officers were called in and surrounding properties were evacuated.
Dissident republicans have been blamed for several recent attacks on police stations in south Armagh. Bessbrook barracks was shot at on Sunday night but nobody was injured.
Dissidents shot dead two soldiers at Massereene Barracks, Antrim, last March and a police officer in Craigavon, Co Armagh, two days later.
Pc Peadar Heffron had his right leg amputated after a car bomb attack near Randalstown, Co Antrim, earlier this year.
