STRABANE: PIPE BOMB VICINO A STAZIONE DELLA PSNI
Ritrovato un ordigno all’esterno di una stazione di polizia di Strabane
La pipe bomb è stata rinvenuta a seguito di una telefonata giunta nelle prime ore di lunedì.
Evacuate le abitazioni della zona. Gli artificieri dell’esercito hanno rimosso l’ordigno per esaminarlo.
Andy Lemon, Chief Inspector del PSNI Nord Area Commander di Strabane, ha dichiarato: “Io condanno senza riserve questa azione. E’ vergognoso che le persone che hanno piazzato questo dispositivo abbiano un tale scarso riguardo per la comunità locale”.

Pipe bomb found outside Strabane police station (U TV News)
An explosive device has been found outside a police station in Strabane.
Army Bomb Disposal Experts made the device safe on Monday night after a telephone warning in the early hours of the morning.
The device was discovered on waste ground and has been removed for forensic examination.
Homes in the area were evacuated as a result.
Police Service of Northern Ireland Area Commander for Strabane, Ch Insp Andy Lemon condemned those responsible.

He said, “Those who placed this device are solely responsible for the disruption and upset that was caused.
“I unreservedly condemn this action. It is shameful that the people who left this device have such little regard for the local community.
“This device was in waste ground, near to homes and local life, and had it gone off, we could have been dealing with a very different situation. There could have been serious death or injury caused”.
Meanwhile, a security alert in the Laharna Avenue area of Larne has been declared a hoax.
