Una scuola cattolica a North Belfast è stata danneggiata da un attacco incendiario. L’allarme è stato dato verso le 6 di questa mattina quando è stato avvistato del fumo in Antrim Road.
Quando i vigili del fuoco sono arrivati sul posto l’incendio si era ormai estinto, ma è stato possibile il ritrovamento dei resti di una molotov in una classe e segni inequivocabili dell’introduzione di un accelerante da una finestra.
Due classi sono state gravemente danneggiate, così come i corridoi adiacenti.
Come sempre in questi casi, il PSNI ha chiesto la massima collaborazione da parte della cittadinanza.

School damaged in north Belfast attack (Rté News)
A school was damaged today in a petrol bomb attack in north Belfast. Police were called to the scene on the Antrim Road when smoke was spotted at around 6am. The police and fire service said the fire had burned itself out by the time they arrived. However, they discovered the remains of a petrol bomb in one ground-floor classroom and found evidence that an accelerant was poured through a window in another. The two rooms were badly smoke-damaged, as were adjoining corridors. Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
