West Belfast: Police targeted in blast bomb attack (BBC News Northern Ireland)

A blast bomb was thrown at a police patrol in west Belfast on Friday night.
It happened at about 22:30 GMT on the Falls Road. There was a loud explosion that was heard across the city.
No-one was injured in the attack. But a car belonging to a family who were driving close by at the time was damaged by shrapnel.
