ASDA BANDISCE L’UNION JACK DALLE CONFEZIONI

Asda Union flag ban on packaging ‘pathetic'(Belfast Telegraph)
An Asda store in Northern Ireland’s Junction One shopping complex is to banish the Union flag from its packaging in a bid to appear neutral to shoppers from all parts of the Antrim community – a move that angered local Ulster Unionist, Adrian Watson.
Mr Watson told the Antrim Guardian that the supermarket’s decision to abandon the red, white and blue emblem from its packaging was ‘pathetic’ and ‘a marked contrast’ to the store’s celebration of St Patricks Day when it was decorated with ‘countless shamrocks’.
“In trying not to offend others, they will offend many like myself with a strong and proud British culture,” he said.
