Nuovo attacco all’Orange Hall di Rasharkin ad una settimana dal lancio di una molotov contro di essa

L’Orange Hall di Rasharkin continua ad essere bersaglio di attacchi. L’ultimo in sequenza temporale si è concretizzato in graffiti a sfondo settario contenti slogan repubblicani.
Un portavoce del Grand Orange Lodge che ha dato l’allarme, chiede ai politici di intervenire per indurre la fine a questo riemergere del settarismo.
“Sembra che l’Orange Hall di Rasharkin sia stata scelta per una serie di attacchi”, ha constatato il rappresentante del Grand Orange Lodge.
“Evidentemente ci sono persone di questa zona che non hanno assolutamente alcun rispetto per l’Ordine di Orange.
“Questi sono attacchi palesemente settari e chiederemo alla polizia locale di aumentare la sicurezza a copertura delle Orange Halls”.
“E’ sconcertante pensare che delle persone abbiano attaccato questa Orange Hall in 23 diverse occasioni negli ultimi due anni.
“I politici devono fare pressioni sulla polizia per garantire che questi attacchi vadano a scomparire”.
“La gente non deve cadere nella trappola della ritorsione in qualunque modo, spetta alla polizia  trovare i responsabili, con l’aiuto della comunità, e consegnarli alla giustizia”.

Orange Order slams graffiti attack (Belfast Telegraph)
The Orange Order has condemned a graffiti attack on one of its halls.
The Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland said republican slogans were daubed on the Rasharkin Orange Hall a week after the building was targeted in a petrol bombing.
A spokesman appealed for political pressure to end such attacks.
“It seems that Rasharkin Orange Hall has been singled out for a series of attacks,” he said.
“There are clearly people in the area who have absolutely no respect for the Orange Order.
“These are blatantly sectarian attacks and we would call on the police in the area to increase the security cover they provide for Orange Halls.
“It is staggering to think that people have attacked this Orange Hall on 23 different occasions in the past two years.
“Politicians need to put pressure on the police to ensure that these attacks are stamped out.
“People must not fall into the trap of retaliating in any way – it is up to the police to find the people responsible, with the help of the community, and deliver them to the courts.”
