L’ Independent Monitoring Commission sta lavorando per mettere a punto una relazione speciale sulla morte di Bobby Moffett,ucciso a Shankill Road lo scorso 28 maggio.

La polizia è arrivata alla conclusione che Bobby Moffet, ben conosciuto nel mondo lealista, è stato freddato da membri di gruppi paramilitari lealisti. In particolare si crede che il mandante possa esser stato, appunto, appartenente all’Ulster Volunteer Force.
Allo stesso modo, è al vaglio degli inquirenti la possibilità che l’omicidio possa esser stato sanzionato dalla leadership UVF.
Lunedi scorso, l’IMC ha riferito che sta seguendo l’inchiesta di omicidio e ha deciso di presentare una relazione ad hoc per rivelarne le conclusioni.
Il rapporto sarà pubblicata prima di un altro fondamentale appuntamento sulle attività paramilitari, che è previsto per fine ottobre.
L’ex leader del Progressive Unionist Party (PUP), Dawn Purvis si è dimesso a causa del sospetto di coinvolgimento  nell’omicidio dell’UVF, al quale il PUP è allineato.

The Independent Monitoring Commission is to produce a special report on the murder of Bobby Moffett, who was shot dead on the Shankill Road on 28 May.
Police believe members of loyalist paramilitaries, the Ulster Volunteer Force, killed him.
They are also investigating the possibility that the murder was sanctioned by the UVF leadership.
On Monday, the IMC said it had been following the murder investigation and decided to produce an ad hoc report.
This will be published before the commission’s next full report on paramilitary activity, which is due in late October.
Former Progressive Unionist Party (PUP) leader Dawn Purvis resigned from her position because of suspicions that the UVF, to which the PUP is aligned, was responsible.
Mr Moffett, 43, believed to be linked to the UVF, was shot dead by two masked men on the Shankill Road in north Belfast.
