VENTIDUENNE ARRESTATO PER L’OMICIDIO CARROLL
Nuovo arresto per l’omicidio dell’agente della PSNI Stephen Carroll
Ha 22 anni il ragazzo arrestato questa mattina a Newtownabbey (Co. Antrim) per l’omicidio di Stephen Carroll, avvenuto il 9 marzo scorso per mano del Continuity IRA.
Attualmente l’uomo è sottoposto ad interrogatori presso la stazione di polizia di Antrim.
Tre persone sono attualmente accusate dell’omicidio.
L’assassioni di Stephen Carroll seguì di un paio di giorni l’attentato alla base armata di Massereene avvenuto il 7 marzo e in cui trovarono la morte Mark Quinsey, 23 anni, e Patrick Azimkar, 21 anni. L’attentato venne rivendicato dal Real IRA.

Man arrested over police murder (BBC News Northern Ireland)
Detectives investigating the murder of a police officer by dissident republicans have arrested a man in Newtownabbey, County Antrim.
Constable Stephen Carroll, 48, was shot dead as he answered a call in Craigavon, County Armagh, in March.
The detained man, aged 22, was arrested on Thursday morning and is being questioned at Antrim police station, a police spokesperson said.
Three people have already been charged in relation to the murder.
Constable Carroll was the first PSNI officer to have been murdered by paramilitaries since the force was formed in 2001. The Continuity IRA said it killed him.
His murder came just two days after the killing of two soldiers at Massereene Army barracks in Antrim.
Sappers Mark Quinsey, 23, and Patrick Azimkar, 21, were murdered as they accepted a pizza delivery. Four other people, including two pizza delivery men were injured in the gun attack.
The Real IRA said that it killed the soldiers.
