Update!Si è conclusa con il loro arresto la vicenda di due fratelli armati barricati nell’abitazione di famiglia in Ormerau Road di South Belfast. Il PSNI aveva circondato la casa dopo essere stata avvisata poco prima delle 5 di questa mattina, che al suo interno si trovava un uomo armato. Alcune ore dopo Andy Martin della BBC, aveva comunicato che gli uomini erano 2, ma solo uno era visibile da una finestra del piano superiore.
Chiusi gli accessi all’area di Powerscourt Place, a South Belfast dopo che alcuni pellets sono stati incendiati, mettendo così a rischio le automobili parcheggiate nelle vicinanze.
La vicenda sarebbe scaturita da un avviso di sfratto come dichiarato da alcuni vicini.
Oltre ai negoziatori della polizia, anche un prete ha cercato convincere gli occupanti ad uscire dalla casa. I fatti però sono stati smentiti da uno zio dei due fratelli il quale ha dichiarato: “Dovevano andare a casa a riprendere dei vestiti, è per questo sono tornati ieri sera” ed ha aggiunto: “Ho chiesto alla polizia se potevo parlare con loro e mi han detto di no. Lo ha chiesto il sacerdote locale e hanno detto di no anche a lui”.  Il PSNI è stato accusato di aver agito in modo spropositato gonfiando la vicenda più del dovuto.
I due uomini in mattinata avevano anche affisso il tricolore irlandese ad una finestra.

Armed police surround city house (BBC News Northern Ireland)
Armed police have surrounded a house in south Belfast after two brothers barricaded themselves inside.
Police said a number of pellets had been fired at officers and their vehicles from the property in Powerscourt Place on the Ormeau Road.
It is understood the house is the brother’s family home, but they have not lived there for a number of weeks.
The relatives, who have accused the police of over-reacting, said they had not been allowed to speak to the pair.
Police negotiators are at the incident, which was reported at about 0500 BST on Tuesday.
A local priest is also trying to persuade the men to leave the house.
Part of the building has been boarded up, but an Irish tricolour is being flown from a broken window in the property.
Speaking from the scene, BBC reporter Andy Martin said officers have automatic guns trained on the house.
“I’m told that there are two men inside the house, which is bordered up in part with steel shutters, but it is possible to see someone through an upstairs window,” he said.
“Earlier suggestions that this was a very serious incident appear to be on the verge of being downgraded.”
The area has been cordoned off and people have been asked to remain in their houses.
