IN CENTINAIA AL PRIMO ANNIVERSARIO DELLA MORTE DI ALAN RYAN
Over 200 march for Real IRA leader (UTV)
Hundreds of supporters of Real IRA boss Alan Ryan have marched through Dublin amid a heavy police presence to mark the first anniversary of his death.
Around 200 Gardaí officers lined the parade route from Mr Ryan’s home in Donaghmede to his grave at Fingal cemetery in Balgriffin as the event passed peacefully on Saturday.
One man, a Scottish national, was questioned and later released over a public order offence and there was minor traffic disruption during the afternoon.
The commemoration was over at around 5.30pm.
Alan Ryan, who was 32, was shot dead in broad daylight by a gunman in the grounds of an apartment complex in Clongriffin last September.
Shots were fired over his coffin at the time of his funeral.
