Son of Sinn Féin Dublin TD stabbed (UTV)
The teenage son of a Sinn Féin TD is said to be in a critical condition in hospital after he was stabbed in Dublin.
The stabbing happened in the Bluebell area of the city at a house on the Old Naas Road, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The 18-year-old victim has been confirmed as being Sinn Féin TD Aengus Ó Snodaigh’s son, Fearghal.
The incident happened just after midnight and the teenager was treated at the scene for a stab wound before being moved to hospital.
His condition has been described as serious.
Gardaí are investigating the incident.
TD Ó Snodaigh lives in the Bluebell area with his wife and their three children.
He was first elected to the Dáil in 2002 and is Sinn Féin’s spokesman on social protection, justice, equality and international affairs.
