ATTACCATA L’ORANGE HALL A BELFAST
Breaking News
Altre tre sono state trovate nelle vicinanze.
Petrol bombers attack Orange Hall (BBC News Northern Ireland)
Petrol bombs have been thrown at an Orange Hall in Belfast.
The attack happened at Belfast Orange Hall, at Clifton Street, near Carisle Circus on Tuesday.
Police received a call at about 2210 BST and when they arrived found one petrol bomb had burnt itself out on the ground close to the hall.
Three other petrol bombs were found nearby. About 50 Orangemen were attending a meeting inside. No-one was injured and damage was superficial.
“Only last week we removed the protective cage from around the hall as a step of faith,” an Orange Order spokesman said.
“This is very clearly an attempt to create tension in the community. We would appeal for people to remain calm and allow the police to carry out an investigation.”
North Belfast MP Nigel Dodds has condemned the attack.
“Clearly there are people out there who cannot reconcile themselves to democracy or moving forwards. They should be ostracised and brought to justice,” he said.
