A businessman shot dead in County Antrim earlier this week is believed to have been the victim of a robbery which resulted in murder, police have said.
Geoff Kerr, 60, was shot dead at his home in Templepatrick on Monday night.
The detective leading the investigation held a press conference about the murder on Thursday.
Mr Kerr’s wife of 30 years, Sally, described him as “the rock which we all clung to” and appealed to anyone with information to come forward.
The financial adviser was shot dead outside his home in the old village area of Templepatrick, which is 10 miles north of Belfast.
His wife and one of his four sons were in the house when the shooting took place.
Mr Kerr, who only moved to Templepatrick about a year and a half ago, has been described by a relative as a “happy-go-lucky family man”.
He had lived and worked in the Ballymena area for many years, where he was also a member of a gun club.
